The Reason

The truth about why she moved out.

A love like no other

A love between parents and a daughter

A bond so sweet

So strong and deep

A mother so fierce

A father so proud

A daughter so pure

And a love that will last forever

Until she got older

She now has a father who forgot her

A mother who blames her

And soon she lost herself

A voice in her head

Became too many to count

They told her things

That she shouldn't believe

It's only in her head

It only lasts a couple days

But it got so bad

She was sent to the hospital

A body weight so low

The world would have lost her

Still a father who forgot her

A mother who blames her

So one day she was

Putting away dishes

She picked up a knife

The voice in her head said

A stab to the stomach

should do the trick

Soon she heard footsteps coming

She hurried and put the knife away

And walked to her room

When she turned 18

She moved out of the house

Her parents weren't happy

And suddenly started caring

She was happy and confident

She wished they cared earlier

Instead they just forgot her

And always pushed her away

The others had it better

I shall not say names

But they know who they are

One who is always angry

And who always got his way

And the other so kind and the protector

Yet always so stubborn

She wanted to be like them

She wanted it so badly

But the other wouldn't let her

They beat her and put her down

Said rude things but no one heard

They never got in trouble

Because they always got their way

One day the protector was tired of their ways and stood up for her

But they still did what they did

And never got in trouble

Because he always gets his way

The protector soon moved out

She was so upset

And the other kept doing what they were doing

Never got in trouble

Because they always got their way

And that is the reason

She had moved away
