He banters
She smiles
She blushes
"I love you"
He gushes
The phone rings
She picks up
"I'm sorry"
He gives up
She breaks down
He hangs up
No return call
She wakes up
The phone rings
She's not home
"Where is she?"
His mind roams.
The phone rings
She sees it
His name reads
"Ignore it"
She doesn't
"Hello you"
He sighs
"I've missed you"
The phone rings
"I can't do this"
Again
She's been through this
She's crying
He's leaving
"No more"
She's grieving
The phone rings
It rings
It rings
She lets it ring
