The Pendulum of Feminism

You want to say you have control over me?

There must be something wrong inside your circuitry

We didn’t get to write our own history

Written by those holding the sword of masculinity

Little do they know... We no longer live in misery

Our time of servitude is over

Take it from Valentina Tereshkova

One of the first to define herself in “Mother” Russia

You’d think the KGB would have a stronger hold on me

Turns out it’s stricter in the US of T

You know... T... like testosterone?...

Because even now I can’t hold my own

This pink tax has overgrown

Like a tumor that’s been undiagnosed

Why do we have to pay not to bleed?

When you’re figuring out how to “lead”

While Sarah Wakeman’s takin’ on the Confederates without heed

Don’t throw around your misogyny

Saying the pendulum is swinging my way

Doesn’t make women the new majority

Centuries filled with violence

Cannot be covered up with silence

We cannot be predicted or overwritten

We aren’t just protagonists when we’re smitten

I’m not your Bella, I won’t be bitten

My story isn’t over, it’s yet to be written

So, the next time you scream ‘The feminists are taking over’

Don’t wish upon a four-leaf clover

We already know you’re just a poser

Spouting shit online cause you’re a loner
