Love should not be as complex as trying to match all the colors in a rubix cube.
Yet for him and her it was.
He always had “heartfelt reasons” for why he couldn’t give her his all.
And she would accept them without reproach.
She made excuses for his excuses as if he had some type of cognitive deficit.
He was never able to even do the basics.
Like communicate effectively & be fully “present” in her presence.
So his cognitive deficit was quite evident.
He didn’t care enough.
She cared too much.
Still, she continued to masquerade it all as true love.
