The Music Muse

A Poem

The rain on my pedals

Excited to see you.

The record playin Beatles

As I come in to greet you.

Black and white timing,

But our love is so many colors.

The silence was climbing

'Til we sat and talked with eachother.

Feeling so happy,

While the weather was sad.

It slowly felt better,

Jude never made it bad.

Then you changed the subject,

And I was lost.

The feeling of rejection,

And not knowing the cost.

I changed it back,

But you disagreed.

A sudden realization,

That the scapegoat was me.

You never made up for it,

You let it be;

A different Beatles song,

That you began to sing.

I stood up,

I couldn't take it.

The time wasn't enough,

For me to fake it.

Yesterday came on,

But my heart had faded.

And now my happiness...

Still lay dead.
