The Morning After

Nothing Like the Walk of Shame

The morning after is always different

You feel different.

You look at yourself differently.

Things around you seem different.

The sky seems a little more blue;

the snow on the ground a little more white.

Suddenly the sound of that alarm waking you up before the sunrise is the only sound you want to hear.

The morning after is always so different.

You are like a changed person.

This happens to so many people, but now it has happened to you and you survived.

The morning after is humbling.

It is the sign of strength, and of love from others.

The morning after you want to kill yourself is going to be different than most mornings, let it.

Things are going to appear different.

Things are going to sound different.

You are going to feel different.

The morning after is always different.

So appreciate the sky and the snow.

Welcome the rain.

When that alarm goes off tomorrow morning, remember this feeling now.

The morning after is always different,

but damn it you survived.
