The Missing Children

Dedicated to the Lost

Do you see me

Do you see the child in the shadows stored away

The child standing on the corner forcing a smile

The child whose soul is being sold for cheap

Do you hear me

Do you hear the child's screams in the night while you're passing by

Do you hear the child call out for their mother or father as you lay awake

Do you hear the child whimper in the cold for a lost freedom

Do you speak

Do you speak of that lost and forgotten child

Do you speak of the torture and trafficking

Do speak their name

You forgot to listen to this child, listen to the truth, listen to the babe

You forgot to see the light, the sparkle, the glow in my soul, a soul now adrift in the midnight sea

You forgot to mention this world is cruel, that some are evil amongst the good

You forgot to hear, to see, to speak
