The Mind of an Adolescent

Society lies to us.

People can never trust.

All men want is lies and lust.

Girls just want something royal,

To find a man who is always loyal.

In this country I see good as evil

and evil as good.

With all the lies and deceptions that ruin our minds.

People never have time.

They're always on the run.

Trying to touch the Sun.

Knowing they'll never make it

So what they do is try to fake it

Just like how people deceive our ears.

But we'll always believe our peers

Why? Don't they make you cry?

Not for good reasons, but bad ones.

It's like they're holding a gun, and it’s aimed right at your head.

They may not want you dead,

But trust and believe that they’re threatening to kill you.

Knowing that you're their bestfriend.

Knowing that you’ll be there till the end.

Knowing that you’ll never leave their side.

Always going to be there “till the day we die”

But why do we even try?

Is it for fun?

What gonna happen when it’s done?

Maybe if we tried to live in harmony,

We wouldn’t be trying to kill each other just for a little bit of money.

Thinking its funny.

But in the end,

I guess we all do this not because we want to,

But because of society.

Society causes all of this and makes us think that we have to fit in and be like everyone else.

We’re always trying to please someone else.

But have you ever stopped and thought, “Do we ever please ourselves?”

No because all we care and worry about is what do other people think.

God is the only judge.
