The Masterplan

A Poem

The Masterplan.

I don’t know where this soul came from

So how can I be scared of where it’s going to go.

There are so many questions unanswered.

But then maybe there’s so much we don’t need to know.

As a million hopes dance with a million fears.

Through a Dreamscape of forever here and now disappears.

There’s a truth in the silence that we are often unable to hear...

But when life becomes still the mystery starts to become clear.

Breathing in, breathing out...

Our blood within our veins flows with so much doubt.

Confusion consumes our fragile minds...

We wonder “what’s it all really about.”

As our hearts beat but they break again and again...

We look around at this world in a different frame.

As the picture that was a masterpiece so swiftly changed.

We forgot as the Artist it’s down to us to create it all the same.

So we harden and grow cold...

And then a little colder.

Our past becomes such a heavy weight...

We carry upon our shoulders.

Ghosts haunt our vision...

Of the memories that have gone.

We learn to rely on tired blind faith...

To sustain us and keep us strong.

And every now and then...

Once in a while.

We become aware of the Beauty around us...

And life beams from our smile.

We understand the lessons that had to be learnt...

And why we couldn’t be told.

We finally realise its all part of a Masterplan that we live as our future unfolds.
