The Man of your Dreams...

I am not the man of your dreams.

So do not pin your fantasy on me.

I am not Prince Charming and don't claim to be.

So re-focus your eyes on what you see.

Don’t try to break down my walls for you are not that strong.

Don’t believe that feeling because it is wrong.

You can’t reach my heart even with your hammer and vice.

And If you think you are falling then you better think twice.

For there is no desire in me to be “ Mr. Nice” or “Perfect” no more.

The selfless heart for another has been washed out from loves shore.

Amongst the sea of the carefree who look out for themselves.

Who put their love for their selves before all else.

That’s not to say I am selfish by any means...

For my friends and my family will always get the best of me.

But as far as love of the romantic kind.

You can take it from me to it all I am now blind.

So I say once again I am not the man of your dreams.

Look closer for all is not what it seems.

Weathered, broken, and untrusting again.

I will only add drops of rain to your aspiring flame.

I am a man of passion and one that can't change...

I will forever be able to be the cause of your lustful screams.

But the only promise I can make you that will break you again...

Is that I will never be The Man of your Dreams.
