The Man in the Room Part 2

Fear has never felt so real.

It's been a week

Nothing has been the same since I saw the figure

Lurking at night

The figure moves swiftly

Fear has settled inside me

Fearing what I might see

Or hear

The figure I've no clue what it wants

It whispers at night

The words it speaks are creepy

Whispering my name is one thing

Yet at night when I lay awake

I can hear the figure in my ear

Almost like it's in conversation with something else

The talks about the time isn't right

Time for what?

In the mornings that's when I feel most safe

As the figure stays in the closet

I no longer open it

Yet every morning the door is creaked open

Almost as if the figure is daring me to open the door

Suddenly everything got silent

I didn't hear from the figure

Nor did I see it

A couple months went by..

Fear was gone

Until it came back

Yet this time I saw it

Walking down the hall late at night

Heading back to my room

The lights were off as I walked in

Going over to the bed

Sleep calling my name

It had been maybe four hours when I woke

Turning over as the covers got tugged

Yet it wasn't me

I don't know how to explain this next part

It all happened so fast

Feeling a hand on my shoulder

Being turned to face the door

The figure was back only this time it smiled

A sinister smile

That whispered in the dark room

Now is the time

They are ready for you

...

Fear you don't know till it hits
