General Note: I wrote this in celebration of the 50th anniversary of "Doctor Who" a few years ago and am aware of the Doctor becoming a woman. I'm just really proud of this poem and wanted to share it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a man in another universe who can see yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

He has been old, young, whimsical, and stern.

His name speaks volumes throughout the land.

He is the Doctor.

People fear the Doctor. His mind is too great to overtake.

People love the Doctor. His benevolence beats with two hearts.

You meet him once and never forget.

He might not look the same the next time you see him.

But you will never forget his name.

For 50 years, people have spoken of this man.

People have told his tale.

But, who knows how long he has been out there - watching us.

Protecting us.

Just him. And a blue box.
