The Love of a Dog

I'm so glad you're mine.

My best friend.

The Love of a Dog

I've never known the selflessness of loving someone completely and utterly beyond words without judging the every move they make.

As humans, we constantly judge.

We judge other people for judging other people because judging other people is wrong.

I have a racing mind and speeding thoughts.

My brain, well it never shuts off.

I always feel alone. Even in a crowded room.

I couldn't quiet the thoughts or anger soon enough.

Then I got you.

You chewed.

You cried through all hours of the nights.

You pissed. Everywhere.

You pooped everywhere else.

You ate harnesses, and leashes and tried to eat the cat.

You disobeyed, made me mad.

You learned so quickly. You quieted down.

You made sure I'd never frown.

You kissed. And howled.

You sang with us at night.

You snuggled and protected.

You'd always wanna play fight.

You lay on me, have to be touching me at all times.

You helped calm my depression. You're my best and greatest friend.

I'm so glad that you're mine.
