The Long Room

And the Way Out

This is the longest room

I have ever seen

There has got to be

Some way out

No windows, no doors

No secret passageways

No hidden treasures to explore

But the colours on the walls are bright and free

And the air is fresh and wild and clean

So if I have to stay

Why would I ask for anything more

This is the best facade

I have ever seen

But I think I found

A way out

No windows, no doors

No secret passageways

Just a surprise under the floor

Down there the paint has peeled, the wood is cracked

The air is stale and thick and black

But I don't want to die

So I'll climb very high

And put the gun back

False morals aren't worth anything to anyone

But life is

Life is

Nothing is ever as it seems, but that doesn't mean it's worthless,

Worthless

False morals aren't worth anything to anyone

But life is

Life is

Nothing is ever as it seems, but that doesn't mean it's worthless,

Worthless

This is the longest room

I have ever seen

Please don't let there be

Any way out
