The Last Straw

This is about a narcissistic ex-friend who was harassing me. I had to cut ties with this person.

I did not get here overnight.

It took 12 years of crap building up like a mountain to finally push me over the edge.

The last straw.

The piece of straw that broke the camel’s back.

The point of reason when I knew I had to burn the bridge and run away.

This was my breaking point where I said enough is enough.

I stood up for my own rights.

I had to cut this narcissist from my life.

She was driving me mad and then convincing me that I was the crazy one.

It was a constant psychology battle.

The war is over.

No one wins.

This was my last straw.

I cut her from my life like throwing away a dead tree limb.

She was the trash I kept forgetting to bring out to the curb.

She was the toxicity that was running through my veins.

Each encounter broke my heart in little ways.

Until one day I stopped caring.

I knew she was not right for my life and I needed to move on.

And the love I once had for her was gone due to the hateful way she treated me.

The problem with narcissists is they only care about their own feelings.

They never take how someone else might feel into consideration.

They are the most important person in your life and demand to be treated this way.

She sucked away all my energy like a psychic vampire.

She demanded all of my time and left little of it for anyone else.

I desperately needed alone time to gather my thoughts and reflect.

She refused to give this to me.

Once I broke away she started stalking me online.

She is worse than the paparazzi.

Nothing I do goes unnoticed.

I wish I was invisible.

I just needed a break from her, but she refused to give me this.

She refused to give me my own space to breathe.

Instead, she had to follow me to the end of the earth and rub her engagement ring in my face.

She had to push me to my limit before the holiday season when she knew I would be the most reactive.
