The Last Leaf Falls

As the last leaf falls, I dream of you.

When winter calls, I miss you too.

Daylight slowly fades to gray,

Snowflakes falling, here to stay.

Autumn winds no longer blow,

Warmth is just a faint ember glow.

The nights grow longer, colder, dark

And all this time, I long in my heart.

Is for the day when the sunlight calls

With you by my side, as the last leaf falls.

About the Creator

Elizabeth Mustain

Hi, my name is Elizabeth. What I write can be a bit sad, as I've suffered from depression, and honestly still fight it every day. Writing has helped a lot with it though, and hopefully, my words will be able to move you, even a little bit.
