The Kiss of Death

Are you ready for her?

Don’t be fooled by her darkness.

The Kiss of Death.

Her beauty and grace covered by black lace.

Her vibrant red lips shine with snake venom to pierce your soul with its icy cold bullet that carries through your bones. She whispers ever so softly the words of death's song which rings with an echo throughout your eardrums “Are you ready to fly?”

Her crystal clear blue eyes mocking the innocence, reveal the many vast skies to where one will soon become your new destination. Give her permission and begin to remain frozen, staring in her eyes you’ll soon remember all sins and all good deeds done in one's life. All in a blink of an eye you’ve relived your laughs and cries in life, all things that made you or broke you, all the souls you loved and even the ones you hated, all flash before you.

She can now spread her wings to guide you home. Hers unlike any others, she lets them free exposing the most beautiful source of darkness one's eyes will ever see. The suddenness of darkness overwhelms you but yet you feel calm and safe as her feathers glide gently across your face, leaving your eyes to slowly close. Your lungs expand like they never have before. You feel your ribs round as they grow to fit around your grieving lungs. You know in your mind that that’s it. You’re at peace with oneself and feel empowered with lightness and holiness. Then. You release it all. Lowering your lungs, relaxing your chest, mind, soul. You let go. The Kiss of Death takes your hand and you’re off to another land.
