The Journey
Why the Destination Is Only Half the Trip

Gone so far, not far enough
There's so much more to see out there
And long road back to nothing
One foot forward, one foot back
Before the final leap. Off into the unknown
When it feels like forever's passed
Yet still only feel like yesterday
When time has become irrelevant
and you don't know what to say
No longer recognise the once familiar
Or who lives behind your eyes
You see the world in subtle shades
It's no longer black and white
What happened to your preconceptions
Where did your ideals go?
They left you hanging off a cliff
What is waiting down below?
The more you learn, the more you grow
The more you see, the more you know
Good or bad it's hard to say,
You'll find out further down the road.
