The House That Dad Built

Poem by Angel Ponder

Coffee brews again,

Children laugh and grin,

In the house that Dad built,

Dogs run around,

Bark at every sound,

In the house that Dad built,

Routines recreated,

New bills generated,

In the house that Dad built,

New love being made,

Old memories gently saved,

In the house that Dad built,

Homework is done,

Then there is fun,

In the house that Dad built,

Prayers are often said,

Bibles often read,

In the house that Dad built.

Music in the evening,

Helps ease the grieving,

In the house that Dad built,

Missing your sweet face,

In this beautiful place,

In the house that Dad built.
