The Great Outdoors

A Poem

The great outdoors

Give me porcelain cups & silverwareOver that of thorns and thistles.Give me knitted blankets & ottomansOver that of leaves and rocks.Give me armchairs & fountain pensOver that of trees and dirt.

Oh, but give me four walls & a good chair;Just give me paper & a fine point pen,And I'll give you a forest.Hand me a leather bound journal & some tea,And I'll bring you to the foot of a glorious waterfall.Just pass me my most cherished mug & a scrap of paper,And I'll give you a world all your own.

Come inside with me,And let's enjoy the Great outdoors..
