The Good Red Road has been
Handed down through generations
We all know white man is
Trying to extinct the Natives
I hate to give a crash lesson
But we will always be here
WE are one with nature
Which is white mans biggest fear
They took us away from our tribes
And tried to make us white
You'll never take the Indian outta me
Not without a fight
Lakota abided by the treaties
Since 1856
But washitu only follow by
The ones THEY wanna pick
White man treated us only
Like we were a savage
But who were the ones that
Came to our camps raining down ravage?
By setting fire to our tipi's
And shot every Indian in sight
But what they don't tell you
Lakota's put up a better fight
We gave it to Custer
Just as he deserved
Along with the 7th Calvary
In which Custer served
Before he went into battle
Crazy Horse shouted "Hoka Hey!"
He's still such a role model
To our Natives today
"It's a good day to die"
Is what Hoka Hey in Lakota means
This is what the Lakota know
And this is what we believe
I'll always be Oglala Lakota
And I stand with such pride
I'll always fight for my People
Till the very day I die
I live up in a white man's world
Always trying to get ahead
But the whites won't be happy
Till ALL the Natives are dead
To whoever decides to read this
May the Great Creator guide you on your way
And help you understand
What I am trying to say
I'm not hating on everybody
We're taught to hate no one
I am just ashamed as too
What the government has done
