The Fool Who Falls in Love

A Poem

By Zane AustinPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Captured by a stunning smile

Hooked on a line of brilliant romance

Humming pleasant tunes

Writing lines of love and desire,

Buying into every look and gesture,

Lulling further into a passionate dream

A face waking me in the night

A voice whispering yearning words

A willing partaker of the elixir of enchantment

A thrilling vision of the fair sex

All personified in a singular form

Madly driving action forth

Deeply forcing life's fire to the surface

Truly articulating the word on the heart,

A name and face constantly on the mind

Abandoning reason and logic for beauty

Risking all on the chance that it may be paradise...

Heaven help the lovers...

Heaven help the passionate...

Heaven help the fool who falls in love.
