The Flames are Burning

By: Kristen Coughlan

The flames are Burning

When man created fire

The fire gave warmth and light

The flames were burning bright

The flames are burning

In the forest below

For to make farmland

For food to raise and grow

The flames are burning

The plants we need

Plants to cure disease

The flames are burning

The land where animals take cover

Not all of them have been discovered

In the rainforest the flames are burning

Put them out before it is too late

Or this beautiful land will pay an ultimate fate
