Society shunned a broken girl
Just for shedding tears
Ignorance blinded society
She's been depressed for five years
Society shunned a gothic girl
Just for wearing all black
The color her soul in the mirror
She believes always reflects back
Society shunned a heavy girl
Just for being that
She cries every night and cannot stand
herself because she's been told she is fat
Society shunned a marked-up boy
Just for having bruises
A beaten toy, a fragile boy
His father often abuses
Society shunned a torn boy
Just for having scars
Left upon him by his mother
Who never leaves the bar
Society shunned a lightweight boy
Just for being thin
Diagnosed with anorexia,
Even before the shunning begins
Society shunned these normal people
For not being exactly the same
The girls and the boys all killed themselevs
Yet society wonders who to blame

Kitty <3
I am a girl who has struggled with many issues in my life, including identity, and multiple mental health problems. I write as an outlet and to reach others who are having the same experiences as me so they know they aren't alone.
