The Eyes of a Fanguin

An Old Gem Dedicated to the First Fandom I Joined

Fanguin. A strange word for some.

It means being the fan of a show

That is a strange show to some:

Penguins of Madagascar!

To me, being a fanguin is not just liking the show.

Being a fanguin is being proud of the show,

amazed at it,

You feel like a new part of you has been constructed!

You think of "Penguins of Madagascar"

And you jump for joy that you let excitement out

Or get artistically inspired!

Day and night, you think of the show,

and you want to share the excitement

Of being a fanguin with others.

But, there's word that there will come a day

Where the show will no longer be on,

that "Penguins of Madagascar" will end.

The info of the show ending

May be as hurtful as being a bowling pin

Rolled over by the ball,

But you know that deep in your heart, soul, and cerebellum

that, no matter what happens,

The spirit of "Penguins of Madagascar" will go on!

And that's what being a fanguin is and always will mean to me.
