The End of the World

Dreams

I have been to the end of the world

and back

Weird sights

Weird delights

A wonderland

Meeting strange beasts in the dark forest

roaming stoned on cyber streets

Never once leaving the safe

confines of home

Homeward bound

on the road to nowhere

All inside my living room

A wonderland

Outside my back door sits heaven

Inside is a hell which the mind creates

Have you ever thought of me

During a cold winter night

Have you ever dreamed?

Escaped back in time

Seeing the world in

Black and white

We were walking one evening

to the edge of a dream

two blind men

played chess

as a third, a war hero

watched from afar

It was the end of the world

a young child cries

but no one hears

or seems to care

cries

screams

everywhere

The smell was deafening

Death like the cool scent of morning dew

It was just another day

Another prayer

Is anyone there?

or even care?

It didn't seem to matter any more

All would soon be over

Another day finished

Back to your world
