High upon a shelf,
In a happy toy store,
There is a lonely little doll.
Day after day she sits there,
Hoping someone will take her home,
To be their little treasure.
People pass by everyday,
Looking at the toys,
Finding that special one.
The little doll is always left,
No one wants her,
No one loves her.
Her only true friends
Are the other toys,
And the store owner.
People have passed by,
Looking at the toys,
Never choosing the doll.
Some buyers show true interest,
Others only glance at her,
Yet no one ever buys her.
She never loses hope,
Because she knows someday,
Someone will buy the little doll.
