The Deed is Done

What did you do?

You do what you need to do.

What you need to do to survive.

To survive through the night

To get through the day

The week

The month

The year

And if you hurt someone, that is okay

Because you did what you had to do.

You do what you need to do.

What you need to do to be the best.

To beat everyone else

To bump off the competition

Because to be the best means to

Survive.

And if someone gets left behind, that is okay

Because you did what you had to do.

You do what you need to do.

What you need to do to feel human.

To feel emotion or pain

To carry on

To have a reason to live

To feel alive

And if you get hurt, that is okay

Because you did what you had to do.

You do what you need to do.

Do what you do if you need to do so.

Do it well and bravely, with honour and pride.

But whatever you do, do it quietly.
