The Deception of Seduction

A Short Poem Depicting a Girl Looking for Love the Wrong Way

A pretty face, a slim body

Doesn't have much to say

There are thousands of these girls lacking confidence

Seeking validation in all the wrong places

She will do perfectly

Offer her a drink, dance with her

Tell her she's beautiful, that you want her

She must feel so special as she feeds on lies

Give her attention and she's sure to succumb

All it takes is an hour

Say that she makes your heart skip a beat

She's sure to go beneath the sheets

The lights are out

Disconnected kisses, bodies joined together

She's craving that intimacy, he's craving a quick lay

Sweaty limbs and unrelenting pleasure

He rolls away and an awkward goodbye soon follows

Promises of a tomorrow that isn't going to come

"I'll call you"

Watch her do the same

Again and again

Looking for the one who will stick around long enough for breakfast
