The Day Will Come

Love can be hard, Love can be pain, and love is a thing that will drive you insane. Loving a toxic person has broken me.This story explains that.

The Day Will Come

Flowers wilt in the breezy spring air,as the trees bow their trunks in despair.

The water collects dust in the misty air and there she stands;wishing and hoping the sun will appear.Yet,it never does. For the sun does not care.

Time passes and there the girl still stands feeling the breeze in her hair. Her eyes feel heavy and oh, how her cheeks are soaked and filled with agony.

She is alone, but yet she doesn't care. She looks out to the world full of chaos and broken dreams. She thinks this isn't for me.She sighs and lays a hand beneath her cheek. She shivers and thinks why me.Born into a world of mayhem and make believe.Lost in the world and cluttered in her thoughts. She begins the long journey home. Over the rubbish of litter on the streets. She closes her eyes and lets the wind guide her in a gentle but yet timid breeze. She empties her mind and begins to breathe. With each exhale she feels a relief.A burden that is lost,A burden that she is free of.With each inhale she begins to recall the memories that haunt her thoughts. The heartbreak she felt was unlike no other.

She had been in love or so she thought it was love. But she knew love is not suppose to feel like this.Love should not leave her hurt and insecure.Slowly the memories flooded her mind and weakened her heart. Her eyes became weary and her soul was aching. It was a warm Saturday the trees were flying high. She could hear the birds still singing a sweet majestic lullaby.

The sun sparkled in the sky,and the butterflies in her stomach began to flutter. Her cheeks began to change color. Her heart skipped a beat.It was there her lover kissed her making every muscle in her body sluggish. He told her he loved her as they lie awake watching endless episodes of Dexter.Than the next day he dumped her and took back those three precious words. The words hunted her day and night like a serpent in the dry desert. She sat and pondered; Why must a good heart but treated with such devastation.

Her heart aches and her head is filled with such foul thoughts. How can she love herself if she doesn’t feel happy. How can she love if she never felt it genuinely? She placed her head in her palms and stopped walking.Snap out of it she thought. You must learn to forget.Fight these thoughts.

Each step she took began to feel lighter.Yet,the fight was far from over. She knew,Yes she know;soon the day would come when she’d forget her troubles.Life would be the way it was.The sun would shine again. The trees would grow strong and tall. The flowers would no longer wilt but bloom in her honor. The sky would be the perfect shade of blue, and the clouds would appear in the day sky.The birds would not screech nor mutter. Her butterflies would soon return. Thus she would move on.The day will come and oh how she’d accept it.But for now she’s broken.
