The Darkness in My Hand

The Dark Part of the Soul Taking Over

By Samantha ReedPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Words flow from my mind to my pen

Thick and syrupy like dark molasses

With its sweetness of truth

Love, hate, and the seasons

Nothing escapes my paper

Light my pour from my mouth

But darkness has taken over my hand

My eyes may see the good

But my finger tips know the bad

Hope, loyalty, and love

May some day take over the world

But not today, oh not today

Revenge, deceit, and hate

Live here in our hearts

And I will write it all

On my paper and in my heart

Until one day

The truth of the light

May be seen by all
