The Clock

It's ticking.

The clock is ticking. (Credit: wallpaperswide.com)

The moment you're born,

The Clock begins to tick.

You have a set time.

When you live,

When you die.

The clock is ticking.

You have this life,

You have these choices,

You have these opportunities.

The clock is ticking.

You have this time,

You can do good things,

You can do bad things.

The clock is ticking.

You can go out

And chase your dreams,

Or let them live and die in your mind.

The clock is ticking.

You can do one of two things;

Work for yourself,

Or work for others.

The clock is ticking.

You have no idea when it'll stop.

It may stop tomorrow,

It may stop in two weeks,

It may stop in two years,

It may stop in two decades,

All you know is

The clock is ticking.

This clock you didn't turn on,

Because it was turned on for you,

Is giving you time.

The clock is ticking.

It's giving you the most precious gift,

More valuable than any stack of cash

Or any rare stone.

The clock is ticking.

The time it gives is priceless.

You have so much of it,

Don't waste it.

The clock is ticking.

Don't stop dreaming,

Don't stop chasing,

Don't stop working,

Don't stop dragging your dreams by the foot into reality,

Because before you know it,

The alarm will sound.

Time's up.
