The Center Piece

From where does love stem?

The Pulse

A glorious and glorified pump that

Through millennia has been pushed down the

Throats who boast how this organ is the vat

Of love and emotions where joy shall be.

A wonderful piece of machinery,

That clicks away like so many clocks

Is the body’s own sense of plenary.

It can receive attacks and utter shocks.

This organ is not the center of love.

It is in fact just a muscle that shoots

Packets of life from the feet to above.

The center piece is where it finds its roots.

It is great but not for what most folks feel.

In fact, it is what makes a person real.
