'The Boy'

Poem About a Brokenhearted Boy

I'm sorry that I wasn't enough for you.

I'm sorry I couldn't be what you wanted.

I would have done anything for you.

I would have given you my heart.

From the moment I saw you, I fell hopelessly in love;

But you'll never mutually desire me, and that's what's cutting so deep.

I only wish to see your face, to remember the one I loved;

But like a vapor your face is gone, and I'll never know those eyes again.

Maybe if I had looked better, you would have run into my arms;

But your beauty is not of this world, so why did I expect you to love me.

I can't say how much it hurt when I thought I lost you, But I know it hurt

Ten times more when you said you didn't love me.
