The Black Curtain

I will meet you there someday.

A Word

Wrong are our memories

Telling us a dream was a reality

That we were meant to be

That we hadn’t ever fought

That things were better in the good all days

To tell you the truth

Things are all the same

We

Are

All

Headed

Into

Oblivion

Love, hate, fortitude, strength, peace, pain

It is all temporary

'Til it becomes the past

what we wanted passed us by

We are Grey, old, decrepit, unwanted, forgotten

And that is the way of the earth.

Unless

We

Fight

Back

there are the few who don’t ever get old

remembered are the legends and the few who have made a legacy out of dust

Who did something that shattered souls and changed the world into something different than it once was

Who will we be?

Will we be the tired, the bedridden, the meek

Or will we be the ones who push to make it in a place that denies us everything

Sing

The

World

Into

Fire

Or

Fall

Into

The

Black

Curtain
