Don't think, don't say.

be strong enough to survive the day

Don't run from the ghost of yesterday,

He’s there every step of the way.

To love is to hurt

Just manage the pain

You lie, I die inside

If I were to break would you care?

Won't mend, won't break

Too scared of my fate

Live with the sadness

The mess you've made

It's all I know anymore..

All I’ve ever known.

This pit will contain me

I'm the illusion of a life

Fake smile, fake laugh

No telling how many times I've worn this mask

What will keep me sane? Numb my fears, dry the tears?

Lose myself, I'm not scared

Just know, I'll always care

Too easy to break

You should've known

Should've tried, instead of lied

Time to let go

So here’s to the life

You know, the one I left with you.

I can’t hate you.

But I sure as hell can envy you.

The ability to be happy

Never having to worry.

So here’s to you.

One last thought and one last “cheers”

Now I’m gone

and you’re in the dark.
