The Back Up

I'm fairly new to this, so please give it a read, let me know what I could do better. Thanks.

A broken heart

The knife that runs through your chest,

And across your wrist,

The blood that runs down your breast,

As you feel the twist.

Loving someone who doesn't love you back,

Is like feeling that little zoo finally die,

As your heart just starts to crack,

And you can't even cry.

Your life finally takes the last tumble,

While you fight for their warm embrace,

Fighting so you don't fucking fumble,

But you just lost this race.

All you wanted was her,

You fought long and hard,

But now everything is just a blur,

But its time to put up your guard.

No longer allowing anyone to play with your heart,

Even though you still want her,

You'll only be ripped apart,

Because you'll never be what you were.

This triangle has killed you,

You're dead inside,

You feel so damn blue,

While your heart has been tossed to the side.

Now don't get me wrong,

I just want you to be happy,

But damn if this doesn't hurt,

I'm tired of always being the last choice, the back up.
