That One

Waiting for That One Catch...

Sitting for hours

Sweat glistening upon my face

Tired and weary

Waiting for that one bite

Rocking steadily on the boat

Moving up and down with the small swells

Pole cast into the deep blue

Still waiting for that one nibble

Birds hovering above

Looking up making sure

No bird droppings fall

While waiting for that one bite

Turing and squirming

Anxiety upon my face

Nearly slumbering in my seat

That one catch finally nibbles my line

Popping from my seat

Snatching my pole

Reeling it in fast

That one catch biting my line

Tugging and pulling

For what seems to be the BIG one

Sweat dripping from my face

For that one catch caught on my line

Boat rocking feverishly

Finally reeling it in

My line from the deep blue

For that one BIG rock

Caught at the end of my line
