Tentative

physics

Love me fiercely but be cautious,

unashamed though humble,

even tentative;

Penitent and gaily sinful,

clumsily erotic yet adroit;

Embrace flesh with wanton ease

Recognize our summons and

accept the release

Moving with me

Feel the itch of that pulsating,

ancestral wave,

rolling, sliding up your spine

tingling, ringing;

Allow these hands to demonstrate

images drawn on skin,

subject to an id that knows no oasis

save the nape of the neck

and the small of the back

Come hither, your eyes

Stay focused on me

Bring them here, your hands

Closer to skin

Breath on me, warmth

Inspirit my heart

Let it fall, your sweat

Drip onto my chest

Put them there - right there

Your tongue and lips

Between legs, thighs

Slide toward these wings

Into florid dew

Perched upon the peak

Closer to zenith and crowning warmth

strokes of brush and finger

titillate both canvases

creating forms from imagination

anticipating completion

paint me a picture

canvas and oil

show me your world

shade my soul with colors

blood, sweat, secretion

each salty touch on the tongue

sizzles like a 9-volt

powerful enough to command attention

and stimulate perfusion

with only a scintilla of apprehension,

as if this time might be

the first and last

groans and ohms

white knuckles

let go
