Teenage Transition

Teenage Hood

SEVEN... seven good long years spells the teenage era

A period, a stage, a transition

This is the point where decisions are made

This is the point where movies are most enjoyed

In this era, bonds are made

Best friends are created, love is craved

In this teenage era, sorry has meaning

In this teenage era, heart shows true feeling

These years mouldeth thee

It creates a void and fills it at the same time

Games becomes the pinnacle of success

Movies and cartoons, source of joy

Sleep becomes an enemy

Some sins have little gravity

It was once written in the days of old

That if one doesn't fall in love as this era unfolds

Then one must feel sorry for his heart

For he is lost in a transitional thermostat

It is okay to say the teenage era is the most beloved timeline

That point where you feel you can touch the sky

That era where you still feel everything is good

In this era, some crap like things exist

This point of our lives is likened to mutation

For you are part baby, part adult, almost a gene simulation

But my story isn't similar but also not too different

In less than a month, my transmutation becomes complete

In less than a month, i would be leaving this scene

Enough lesson learnt, enough bonds formed

At the very end, i once loved and then lost

But a new chapter awaits, a new station

I get to meet the Sheriff and say i survived the teenage transition.
