Tale of all tales! The pigtail!
The unbearable moment when destiny and you collide
It’s inevitable
The tale of you becomes the truth of you and all the tantrums in the world cannot undo what has been ordained-
A slip of the wrist -
Moans of sheer terror
Grunting with horror
And then there it is for all to see-
The pigtail!
It has so much in common with the train that I spent most of my childhood enthralled with -
The way it sways & bounces along the line / hairline!
Ponderous clouds of fluffy smoke / hair escapes the cabin!
Ribbons are wrapped and cut in a futile attempt at launching a new style!
Give me a tantrum that I can wrap my sorry pigtail around
And I’ll give you a better tale of the story of me!,,,,

Stuck in Place
Amy whistled as she walked through her front yard, looking for any sticks she could pick up and throw into the pile she and her brother were making. They had a big windstorm recently; as such, all the trees in their yard had suffered some damage in some loss of sticks. Or perhaps losing those sticks was a good thing since their trees probably needed to be pruned anyway. Amy wasn't sure.
