Take a Bow

Your Opinion of Me, Irrelevant

By Kenneth DavisPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

I'm practically done with the dumb shit

Growing in abundance

But to some

It sounds intelligent

Your opinion of me, irrelevant

You're better than

And all that

Whatever keeps you afloat, that's

An excuse to me

I've heard it all

You're reasoning for being a shitty personally

It's not working

Well that's you

You've got standards you must uphold

Wouldn't want to taint the picture

You've undoubtedly claim victor

So....

I'll be sure to keep my distance

Won't wish no ill will

This attachment

I've got to kill

May have known you for years

But that has come to an end

What's the point of having you there

When we never were really friends

What memory have we shared

Besides the negative image

Nothing positive, right?

And the furthest from being uplifting

Pick and choose to validate

Among snakes you'd rather toss me in

A world of basket cases

Which patrons toss dirty laundry in

The trash under your feet

Unknown, unless depressed

The only time you'll look down

Whenever you're feeling stressed

Sorry we're not alike

But to you, forever worth less

Unless it has a price

With two proofs of purchase

Happiness for sale

In prejudice categories

You have to meet prerequisites

Or not worth the fellowship

I see how it is now

You should be very proud

Better yet, my apologies

By all means

Take a bow
