Sweet Tears, Lost Facades

A Poem

Sweet touches flicker on my skin,

your breath seemingly as though it is the wind.

My heart beats a little fast,

you are my first you will be my last.

My first smile and innocent eyes,

my first heart ache,

The first time I would die.

I would lie alone with you,

and fall asleep until the late noon.

Summer days past like a beating drum,

my heart aches for the past but the future will come.

When I fall asleep alone this time,

even when I see your smile I know the tears will come.

They roll down my pale face and hit my pillow below.

I know you are not here with me,

and I know that you will never come.

I hear your voice when I sleep,

and try so dearly to forget.

Even now I know the dark night comes,

and I know I can not forget.

Tonight I lay alone again tears fall down and darkness ends.

I see the morning sky alone,

even now the darkness is my home.
