Swansea Clouds

My childhood view.

Oh Swansea how I miss you, the beach, the park and the sea

I remember all the holidays running wild and free

Walking over the mountain that took us to the world

Playing all our adventure games with Dragons tails uncurled.

Running down the Black road would always end in pain

As we would end up fighting with Mount Pleasant boys again

"Clive’s" shop was on the corner, just before the pub

A cave of sweets and chocolate, pasties, pop and grub.

All summer long we walked and walked and kicked along the ball

And climbed the ruins of the house in Singleton over the wall

Ring Stone Round is in the park where druids sing their song

So there we sat in the festivals watching beauties all day long.

So Swansea how I miss you, my memories as a child

Playing Cowboys and Indians and riding rapids wild

Life was good in Swansea but we had so little money

Though the rain that fell upon our face's, tasted as good as Welsh honey.
