Summer Rain

Cloudy Day Reminders

do you remember the summer rain,

the lingering trace of lips and,

the ripples made by water dripping

from our innocently joined hands?

the memory, it hasn't been enough

this memory, it still hasn't gone away

dearly wishing to be the rain again

just to touch you, to be apart of you once again

how do I say goodbye to those days

I dreamed of counting down?

"what a good thing we knew,

what a bad thing to lose"

now it's the other way around

had I never touched you,

do you think I could smile now?
