Stronger

A piece by me for you.

Pain

So bitter

So sweet

To open yourself

And not be weak

To the horror

To the beauty

To the underlying love

You made me happy

And then so sad

How am I ever supposed to be truly free?

You feign love

And act kind

But truly you

Are no friend of mine

Blank pages

Empty hearts

Open minds

Far apart

Love in a time

That was not mine

It was the passion

That created the crime

Passion is pain

And it burns so hot

Let the fire

Consume you

Ready or not

Let it begin to light

And make you glow in the night

There’s a gnawing in the pit

It digs and digs

And there is no escape

Death to all

The light

The pain

As it slowly extinguishes

When the passion eats you from the inside

Just know

The fire was always with the pain

The strength of the world, is too, in you...

It's okay to love and not be loved, but remember, life does go on. All you need to do, is be ready to go on with it.

About the Creator

Cardinal Rose

I find that there is no better degree of expression for me than words that manage to say nothing, yet everything, all at the same time.
