Strength

Black

Black eyes, black lives, black ties

Eyes full of tears from the white man’s torment

Lives taken at the hands of the white man’s resent

Family ties broken, shattered by the white man’s cruel intent

Black lives matter isn’t just a motto that we suddenly hopped on

But a lifetime worth of sorrow and agony as we’ve watched our family be drawn

Out one by one, taken from between the sheets

Emotionally raped, tortured and molested

Our thoughts bearing only the memories of our insignificance and inferiority

The aching recollections of mental, emotional and physical subjection

Forced to believe than we are unimportant

That we are meaningless

That we are null and void

But we are power

We are love

We are valuable

Not to be picked off one by one with the intent of extinction

You CAN NOT KILL US!

We CAN NOT BE ANNIHILATED!

Gods and Goddesses created at the hands of the most powerful
