Strange

A Poem

There's a stranger in my home.

We pass each other throughout the day, each one of us not sure how we should greet one another.

Our appearances are identical but at the same time nothing alike.

She smiles and I shy away, she carries a confidence that I could never posses! She always looks ready to take on the world however it may come.

I deflate thinking how much I wish I could take on the world.

I pass this stranger before I leave to start another day she stands tall full of confidence but her eyes full of pity and loathing for the stranger she looks back about in her home, while I look to her and slouch down some more if I am invisible I won't have to worry so much about my what I am lacking.

I won't have to answer to the stranger in the mirror.
