Stormy Clouds

I watch as the clouds gather

It looks like it will rain

Maybe it isn’t the skies

Maybe it is this heart of mine

It is filled up to the brim

Just one more drop and it will fall

These rain drops from these stormy clouds

Wanting to seep through those imprisoned guards

The walls barely standing against these stormy clouds

You can feel the ground rumble

Or is that the thunder?

I can’t tell from all these storming clouds

It’s like being stabbed in the back

The wound growing deeper

Yet, the walls are standing tall

Against these stormy clouds
