Stolen

By Her

There,

There in my vision,

I see you.

You in your uncaring flesh,

Just lying there.

Lying there with her.

Her.

The one who stole you from me.

I lay here wondering,

Wondering what I did wrong.

Where did I go wrong?

Was I not good enough?

You.

Your innocent face fast asleep so close to hers,

Not a care in the world,

Only her on your mind.

Where am I?

I'm on the ground,

On the ground, unable to get up.

The gravity holding me down,

Holding me in its unforgiving arms,

Unable to breathe, I'm drowning.

Drowning in my sorrow.

What sorrow, you ask?

I gave my all to you,

And you took it away.

All my love, devotion, trust.

I thought maybe you were the one.

Apparently, I've thought wrong.
